VITAMIN B COMPLEX
A water-soluble vitamin, it is flushed through the body quickly and cannot be stored, and must be fed to your dog with each meal.
Vitamin B helps to promote growth, deal with stress and aids in healing, especially after surgery. Necessary for fat and protein assimilation, vitamin B complex is made up of 70 individual parts, plus folic acid, biotin, choline, inisitol and para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). Necessary for vaccines to work correctly in the body, lack of vitamin B can cause vaccine reactions.
To make up for any potential loss, vitamin B is supplemented in the beakfast meal. Vitamin B is found in abundance in liver, yeast, wheat bran, wheat germ and kelp.
Hair loss, early graying of hair coat, weakness in the back legs, loss appetite, stool eating, attracting fleas, ticks, anxiety, nervousness, edema and heart disease can all be traced to deficiencies in the B complex vitamins. Found naturally in yogurt or kefir, molasses and eggs in the breakfast meal, vitamin b is extremely fragile. When exposed to heat, light and air, it loses its effectiveness.
Vitamin B complex, found in many grains and starch producing vegetables, is needed so that the amino acids phenyalanine and tyrosine can produce . Thyroid function is also dependent upon the correct amount of carbohydrates in your dog’s diet.
